Hello, My Name is Spencer.
I have an extraordinary story and a very special role at CDHR. My best friend and teammate, Oliver, and I, arrived at CDHR starved and neglected. We were both severely underweight by several hundred pounds each. But because of the excellent care we received, both Oliver and I blossomed into magnificent horses. We were quite a team. Oliver and I were the ambassadors on the farm and out in the community. Our role was to demonstrate how gentle, intelligent, and essential draft horses are. Our schedules were busy. Posing for photos, ground driving, giving carriage rides, and helping spread the word about CDHR. Sadly, my best friend passed away in 2019 from natural causes. I was so sad and depressed. The volunteers at CDHR rallied around me and looked after me day and night. People from all over came to visit me when word spread about Oliver. Hundreds more left tributes to my friend on Facebook. I felt so much love. I knew I needed to continue my work as anyone with a mission. I need to let folks know about CDHR. There is still work to be done. I miss my buddy, but I know he’s looking down at me with so much love and support. My job is to be the best ambassador for CDHR. You can help care for my health and happiness by donating so I can continue my important work at CDHR.
