Hello, My Name is Shearl.
Shearl arrived at CDHR on January 31, 2024. Our friends at Maple Hill Farm & Rescue in Maine were downsizing their program and reached out to us to help them by taking in a Belgian mare they rescued from a kill pen some years ago. Please meet the lovely lady Shearl (rhymes with Pearl). Shearl is a 26 year old Belgian and was part of a team known as "The Flying Sofas Drill Team" with her companion Pearl, who passed away a few years ago. Shearl is a petite gal, at 15.2hh, and is a sweet, gentle mare. It's always our privilege to step up and help our rescue friends when possible. We guarantee that this beautiful lady will be showered with love and attention from our volunteers.
