Hello, My Name is Hank.

My name is Hank and I have quite a story to tell. I was an Amish workhorse that was dumped at auction with an eye "injury." The "injury" turned out to be an advanced case of squamous cell carcinoma that had obliterated my right eye and needed to be removed. The folks at CDHR then found a second tumor on the cornea of my left eye. When it was determined I would need surgery to remove the tumor, I was brought to Tufts Equine Medical Center and had the tumor removed. My left eye was saved. ♥️ But this is not a sad story. Cancer was not going to take me down. I received the best medical care from our amazing corp of volunteers. I was cared for and loved. 24/7. I fought a hard battle and our volunteers refused to give up fighting for my left eye. And I healed. Both physically and emotionally. I am now cancer-free, with no evidence of disease. I’ve come full circle from a sick, abused horse to the leader of shenanigans in my paddock. To know me is to love me!
