Hello, My Name is Coal.
ADOPTED - OCTOBER 2020!

I am the Black Beauty of CDHR. My story mirrors that of the horse in the cherished classic that everyone loves. I was rescued at auction by CDHR. I was abused and still bear the scars from my former life. After a period of rest and rehabilitation, I found a new home. Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of my control, my owner had to surrender me back to the rescue after eight years together. So you see, both Black Beauty and I have experienced cruelty and kindness throughout our lifetime. One is fictional, and the other, unfortunately, is all too real. My story, like that of Black Beauty, shows how courage, perseverance, and the power of kindness are timeless.  I know there is a human out there for me. I just know it.
